"I'd bang him like an old broken radio"
Fun, adventurous and strikes that delicate balance between showing concern and not asking prying questions. He seems like a nice guy and he's always up for a good time. I'd do him again, and again, and again.

Triggers/Fears/Squicks: I'm not really into intense gore/torture porn. I would still write an aftermath sort of thing about it, but I'd rather not RP it out. I can't think of much else. I've been in horror games and done horror plots and am pretty willing to do whatever comes by the plot.
Character Motivation: August would find the idea of saving so many worlds appealing. He'd find it as a sort of redemption from how he failed to help Emma and how he avoided his responsibilities for years. And there would be an honest part of him glad to get out of the small town to explore new things.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
Name: August W. Booth and yes, he would use the middle initial
Age: 35
Physical Appearance: Reference
Point in Timeline: 4.21 “Operation Mongoose Pt 1” after helping Emma and company in the Sorcerer's house. (Basically they needed info and he gave it)
World Description: Enchanted Forest and Storybrooke. Also, the Land Without Magic is basically our world as we know it.
History/Background: Here
Noteworthy Positive Characteristics: Easygoing: August has a chill attitude about most things. He's friendly to just about everyone he meets and one would find it hard to get him angry over anything. He instantly connected with Henry and Ruby by willingly opening up about his experiences-- even if what he told Ruby wasn't entirely true. He was even able to win over Emma, who was much more skeptical and suspicious of him. This easygoing nature is what drove August to his life of pleasures, doing whatever he wanted and living life to the fullest. He only showed anger when Emma refused to believe her destiny as the savior.
Caring: August doesn't always show it in the best way, but he does have a good heart and he cares strongly for his family and those close to him. As a puppet he loved his father enough to risk his life to save Geppetto's, and after returning to Storybrooke he was always here to help Emma when she needed him. He also made sure to keep tabs on her while they were growing up. He checked in on her at a time when she was doubting herself and gave her a story that he hoped would set her back on the right path. When Tamara was threatening Storybrooke, August chose to warn Emma at great risk to himself. He did mess up Emma and Neal's relationship, but he still cared enough to send a postcard like he promised when the curse broke.
Believer: This is one way that August described himself: “I'm a believer and I want to help other see the light.” Naturally being from a land of magic, August has a strong belief in its power. Even after years of living in the Land Without Magic, that belief never faltered. In fact, he believed in it so strongly he never considered that Storybrooke would have no magic in it. He also believes in other people, particularly Emma. He is her strongest supporter-- besides Henry-- and has faith in her even when she doubts herself. He knew she had the power to break the first curse and was frustrated with her when she didn't want to believe. He even used his last breath before turning back into wood to encourage her and tell her she could save them all.
Noteworthy Negative Characteristics: Selfish: For a long time, August was very self-indulgent, giving in to his own desires and chasing after pleasures. He tried anything and went anywhere he wanted. As a puppet he ran away to Pleasure Island where he could indulge in temptation, and did the same thing years later in the Land Without Magic. He ran away from his responsibility to Emma and instead looked out for himself. He did check in on her now and then but never revealed who he was or what he knew of her and her parents. When he first found out he was reverting to wood, he took to stealing rather than return to Emma. He even seriously considered leaving Storybrooke when Tamara gave him that choice.
Deceitful: From the moment he became animate, August was a liar. Of course every lie came with the visible consequence of his wooden nose growing, but that didn't stop him. On Pleasure Island, he lied to Robert about James until he was caught and coerced into the truth. Sometimes lying was harmless or even to protect others, like his lie of finding Emma on the road kept the truth of their origins a secret. Other times he lied for his own purposes, such as when he pretended to be Baelfire to gain Gold's trust. August also lies by omission, not telling Emma who he really is or how he knows her for weeks. He treated his lies like a game sometimes, teasing Emma or Henry with bits of truth but not fully showing his hand. He has become more open with the truth, but lying is still a part of who he is.
Irresponsible: August doesn't always think through the consequences of his actions before he does things. Many of the decisions he makes are based on what he wants or what he thinks is right at the time. While he was only a child when he left Emma, he didn't check in on her for years and even when he did, he didn't reveal himself and eventually left her on her own again. He was all too willing to break up Emma and Neal and let her go to prison because he thought that would help her change the course of her life. He waited until the last possible moment to reveal to Emma the truth about their origins and her destiny. When magic returned to Storybrooke, August chose to run away and hide rather than face everyone. He would have left Storybrooke entirely if he hadn't learned what Tamara did to the Dragon. This is something August's gotten better at, but then again it's likely only because of his father and Emma that August stays in Storybrooke.
Powers/Abilities: He can sew books by hand, has some knowledge in mechanics, and can make things from wood. He has no magic or powers despite being brought to life by magic.
Character Fears: He fears turning back into wood, though I imagine any type of extreme body horror would freak him out because of Pleasure Island and turning into a donkey.
Personal Item: A simple string necklace with a wooden whale as a pendant. This string was once part of him when he was a lifeless puppet, so it is very important to him

I'm going to sound old-fashioned, but I already miss my typewriter. The feel of the keys and the sounds they make striking the page, the weight of it when I take it out of its carrying case... I took it everywhere with me. This doesn't have quite the same feel to it. It's a lot easier to correct mistakes, for one. It's going to take some adjusting. But a writer has to be flexible, right?
Enough about that. Does anyone have a good story from their world to share? If so, I'd love to hear them. You don't have to be a writer, either. Just tell it as best you can.
Action Log Sample: [One thing August knows how to do very well is relax. So once he heard there was a spa on this planet, he was on his way there. The last time he used one of these, he was in Phuket. Those memories are a little bittersweet to dwell on now.
This is an entirely different situation: he is not running from his responsibility this time. If his father and Emma knew he was here to save multiple worlds, they'd be proud of him. And if it so happens he can indulge himself along the way, there's nothing wrong with it! So he slides into the warm water and relaxes.
He glances over at the person beside him. He can't help but start up a conversation]
You know, lavender is an aphrodisiac. [For once, he's actually telling the truth about something]
